Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro Set Olympic Grand Prix Special Record
Germany – British rider Charlotte Dujardin and the 10-year-old KWPN gelding Valegro set a new world record for the CDI Olympic Grand Prix Special during the Hagen CDI4* on Sunday. The 25-year-old rider and her partner, owned by Carl Hester and Roly Luard, scored an 88.022 percent, three percent above the previous record, when they won the Special.
Placing second in the Olympic Grand Prix Special was Denmark’s Anna Kasprzak riding the 13-year-old gelding Donnperignon to a score of 79.844. Third place went to German rider Anabel Balkenhol and the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding Dablino with a score of 78.244.
