Germany’s Isabell Werth and El Santo Take Two Grand Prix Wins at German Classics
(German Classics) – Isabell Werth and her 11-year-old gelding El Santo NRW were the big winners in Grand Prix competition at the German Classics. The pair scored 69.504 to win Saturday’s Grand Prix and then won Sunday’s Freestyle with a score of 80.238.
Placing second in both the Grand Prix and Freestyle was Bianca Kasselmann riding the 16-year-old Oldenburg Weltclassiker. They scored 68.794 in the Grand Prix and 76.35 in the Freestyle. Danish rider Martin Christensen and the 15-year-old Hanoverian Anatol placed third in both competitions with a 68.652 in the Grand Prix and a 76.333 in the Freestyle.
