Australia – Gold medallist Joann Formosa to appear at AFL Preliminary Final
(Equestrian Australia) – Paralympic gold medallist Joann Formosa and fellow Victorian Paralympians will be special guests at Saturday’s preliminary final between the Adelaide Crows and Hawthorn at the MCG.
Accompanying Joann will be Para-Equestrian National Performance Director Julia Battams and Chef d-Equipe Sally Francis.
The athletes will make a special appearance ahead of the commencement of the game which is due to commence at 5:15pm AEST. The MCG can hold approximately 100,000 people and a good size crowd is expected.
The game will be broadcast on Network Seven and Foxtel but check your local tv guides for further information as details vary between each state.
This is the official Victorian Government’s welcome home celebration for Victorian Paralympic athletes.
EA will announce details of other state’s welcome home celebrations as they are made available.
