Great Britain Came Out on Top in Olympic Medal Count

With the Olympic equestrian battle now ended, the final medal count put Great Britain, the host nation, at the top of the medal list. Britain earned a total of five medals, three of them gold. Coming in second in the medal count was Germany with a total of four medals. Shut out in the medals this year was the U.S.
