Morgan Barbancon Mestre and Painted Black Take Grand Prix Win at Saumur CDI3*
France – Spanish rider Morgan Barbançon Mestre rode the 15-year-old KWPN stallion Painted Black to victory in Friday’s Grand Prix for the Freestyle at the Saumur CDI3*. The pair scored 75.340. In second was Dutch rider Edward Gal and the 11-year-old KWPN gelding Glock’s Undercover with a score of 73.681. Third place went to Sweden’s Michelle Hagman and the 12-year-old Trakehner gelding TSF Rudi’s Memory with a score of 70.362. Hans Peter Minderhoud and the 11-year-old mare Donna Silver were fourth with 69.979.
On Thursday, Spanish rider Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz took the blue away from Anky van Grunsven in the CDI3* Grand Prix for the Special. He and the 14-year-old PRE stallion Fuego de Cardenas scored 74.021 for the win. Van Grunsven and the 18-year-old Hanoverian Salinero scored 73.681. Taking third was Spain’s Jordi Domingo Coll riding the 15-year-old KWPN gelding Prestige to a score of 71.362.
