Cornelissen and Parzival Take First Leg of 2012 Reem Acra Dressage World Cup Fina
After being held back in Thursday’s veterinary check, Parzival and rider Adelinde Cornelissen cleared the second veterinary check on Friday morning and went on to take the win in the opening leg of the 2012 Reem Acra Dressage World Cup Final held Friday afternoon in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. Cornelissen, of The Netherlands, and the 15-year-old KWPN gelding took the win in the grand prix with a score of 78.024 percent. Coming in second was Germany’s Helen Langehanenberg and the 12-year-old Westfalen stallion Damon Hill NRW (Donnerhall x Rubinstein I), owned by Christian Becks. Their score of 76.125 put them just ahead of the 75.106 percent earned by the third-place team of Valentina Truppa, of Italy, and Eremo del Castegno (Rohdiamant x Weltmeyer), an 11-year-old gelding.
The highest-placed American pair was Shawna Harding and the 13-year-old gelding Come On III (Come Back II x Lantaan) with a score of 68.055, which put them in 13th place. Jan Ebeling and Rafalca finished in 17th with a score of 65.258.
