Imke Schellekens-Bartels and Hunter Douglas Toots Take Grand Prix Freestyle Win at Addington CDI3*
Great Britain – Dutch rider Imke Schellekens-Bartels dominated grand prix competition during the Addington CDI3*. After winning the CDI Grand Prix, she and her partner Hunter Douglas Toots went on to win the CDI Grand Prix Freestyle with a score of 79.701. Laura Bechtolsheimer, of Britain, and Andretti H had finished second in the Grand Prix but were knocked down into third place in the CDI Grand Prix Freestyle by Spanish rider Morgan Barbancon Mestre. Barbancon Mestre had finished third in the Grand Prix but took second in the Freestyle with a score of 78.150 riding the stallion Painted Black. Bechtolsheimer and Andretti H scored a 76.675. Fourth in the Grand Prix Freestyle went to Britain’s Carl Hester riding the 12-year-old gelding Merlin Nemorensis to a score of 74.725.
