Hooge Mierde – Since 2001 the Global Dressage Forum has been successfully organised at Academy Bartels in Holland. To give it an even broader basis the initiative has been taken to establish a ‘Global Dressage Foundation’, to support the organisation of the Forum and to increase the communication between the stakeholders in dressage. 
     The initiative was initiated in a meeting during Jumping Amsterdam with representatives of the international trainers and riders clubs, the Dutch federation and the FEI. Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark has kindly accepted to be the first President of the Global Dressage Foundation. The next Global Dressage Forum will take place in Hooge Mierde on 29 and 30 October 2012. The new foundation also has advanced negotiations to support a North American Dressage Forum in Florida, in February/March 2013.
