Adelinde Cornelissen Named Dutch Rider of the Year for 2011

Dutch rider Adelinde Cornelissen, who currently stands at the top of the world dressage rankings with Jerich Parzival, has another honor under her belt. She has now also been named the Dutch Rider of the Year for 2011 by the Dutch Rider of the Year Committee. The award is sponsored by the Dutch show Indoor Brabant, which is set to take place in April.

Cornelissen and Jerich Parzival were consistently at the top in international competition and have continued to be there thus far in 2012. It was partly this consistency that earned the rider this award. The committee noted that staying in the lead with one horse over a period of time showed not only Cornelissen’s talent as a rider and trainer but her overall skill in managing horses.
