Norwegian dressage rider Siril Helljesen has earned her nation’s title of Equestrian Athlete of the Year for 2011. She received the award during the Horse Gala held in Oslo right after she finished competing at the CDI-W in Amsterdam, where Helljesen finished sixth in the World Cup competition. With the Danish mare Dorina, Helljesen has been claimed several CDI Grand Prix wins in 2011. Dorina was named Norway’s Sport Horse of the Year for 2011.
