As well as raising much-needed funds, COTA provides a fun-filled evening with great entertainment for spectators.
“I think that the Challenge has evolved as one of the best, if not the best, benefit events of the year,” Juliano said. “To me, it is a perfect combination of attractions. You’re doing something that will help others along with the additional benefit of enjoying a very good time. It also has become so popular that many people from our community attend across the disciplines, not just from dressage. It’s always wonderful to see old friends and make new ones.”
COTA also allows those affected by the disease to come together to share their experiences as well as work towards a cure.
“This provides us with a common place to express ourselves,” Juliano said. “This is a place where people who are survivors can celebrate and a place for those of us who have lost people to relate to one another. My hope is that it would be a comfort for those who are directly struggling with the disease.”
