The double Bundeschampion stallion Escolar will from now on be trained by Hubertus Schmidt. This means that German Olympic rider Hubertus Schmidt trains all three dressage stallions owned by Equus Invest AG: Florenciano, Estobar NRW and Escolar NRW.

The 4-year old bay Westphalian stallion is bred by Sabina Ludwichowski. In 2012, Escolar (by Estobar x Furst Piccolo) and Hermann Burger won the 3 and 4-year old riding horse stallion class at the 2012 and 2013 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf. During these competitions the judges gave a 10.0 for the trot and canter. Escolar was the winner of the Westphalian and German Young Horse Championships in 2012 and was licensed afterwards. Breeders are already excited about his crop of foals that is awaited for 2014.
