NEDA Announces Scholarship Winners
(NEDA) – Congratulations to the latest recipients of NEDA Scholarships! Three scholarships were awarded in April of 2013. Joy Congdon of Shelburne, VT received a Professional Scholarship to study with Kathy Connelly and Anne Gribbons to confirm the Grand Prix with her mare, Wixen. Nora Batchelder of Williston, FL received a Professional Scholarship to study with Shelly Francis develop grand Prix at the international level. Regina Cristo of Sand Lake, NY received an Amateur Scholarship to study with Tom and Judy Noone to develop a Second Level Freestyle. We wish them the best of luck!
Did you know that NEDA Scholarships become available twice a year? The deadlines for 2010 to submit applications are April 1st and October 1st. There are now five different categories under which you can apply for grants:
• International Level Competitor
• Professional Rider/Trainer
• Serious Amateur
• Young Rider
• Breeding
As part of NEDA’s mission to “promote and support the art of dressage,” scholarships are made available to members who wish to pursue their training. As a recipient, you will be asked to give back to the dressage community in various ways such as: keeping a journal of your experiences; fundraising; being available for publicity or interviews; giving a clinic or exhibition; providing your judging services for a show, etc.
